Discovering Safe Spaces
My Journey and the Heart of Safe Spaces Therapy Online
Why ‘Safe Spaces Therapy Online’?
The name reflects my life and professional journey. I understand the need for a place where you can truly be yourself—a space free from judgment, where trust, safety, and growth thrive.
My aim is to create an environment where you feel supported, heard, and valued. Safe Spaces Therapy Online is more than a practice; it’s a commitment to providing a compassionate, inclusive space for self-discovery and clarity.
A Journey to Safe Spaces
Personal Insights
My path to counselling began with my own experiences. Growing up, I navigated loss, identity challenges, and mental health struggles. Losing my brother at a young age and supporting my father through his depression profoundly shaped my empathy and understanding. Being part of the LGBTQ+ community and being diagnosed as neurodivergent later in life deepened my insight into the diverse ways we process and experience life.
Finding Purpose
A diagnosis of HIV in my twenties connected me more deeply with the LGBTQ+ and HIV communities. These experiences showed me the transformative power of safe, non-judgmental spaces.
Professional Growth
To turn my passion into professional support, I completed counselling training through the CPCAB route and gained hands-on experience through an NHS placement. My skills in person-centred and solution-focused therapy have been enhanced by specialized training as a trauma-informed practitioner and certified online and telephone counsellor.
Ethical Standards & Memberships
As a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I uphold the highest ethical standards, ensuring a safe and confidential environment for every client.
Focus Areas
My practice focuses on:
LGBTQ+ individuals
Carers
Trauma survivors
Those facing suicidal thoughts
I also welcome anyone navigating life’s challenges. No journey fits into a box, and I tailor my approach to each unique individual.
Community Work & Advocacy
Community work has always been central to my approach. As a Meta Certified Community Manager and a member of Facebook’s Power Admins Global Program, I’ve developed skills in creating supportive, inclusive environments both online and in person. These experiences reinforce my belief that everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and understood.
